I was going through SK's little baby clothes and gear to give to Melanie (clay's sis) bc she is expecting a little girl soon (Cameron Alexis Mink)... and SK was NOt ready to give up her bouncy seat.. :) She climbed in it and said "night night". Hard to believe she used to be so tiny we would have to stack blankets in the bottom of that seat so she wouldnt be lost in it! .. time flies...sigh..

Well.... it's done.. we have sold the house and moved everything we own out of the house and into a storage room in MS. We left at 6 am. thurs. ....got there around 3.. Packed all night..and drove ALL the way back home in the morning. (WHEW!!) Thanks to Clay's brother, Jason, for helping load all the heavy stuff and driving our car up and back for us! The Penske truck ride wasnt nearly as bumpy as i thought it would be.! It had a bench seat... so i kinda enjoy getting to sit close to my hubby the whole way. I made it through the packing ok without a tear... until i went upstairs.. to Sk's room.. the room i had worked so hard to make a perfect little 'heaven ' for her. All my sweet memories came flooding back... And i lost it. I went to our tiny little closet of a bathroom and cried and cried.... got myself together .. long enought to finish packing. Then we went to sleep in our bedroom for the last time. I cant tell you what that house meant to me... sooo many wonderful memories and blessings. I hope it brings as much happiness to the next family as it did us.I will miss it.. and that town...and our neighbors...(sorry Oxley's for not getting to say goodbye...you know im no good with goodbyes) Now its time to move on to a new chapter in our life....

I love subway sandwiches... and i love that its $5 for a footlong...and i love that i dont have to feel guitly about eating there after hitting up the gym. Anywho...that being said...THis is how my last visit to Subway went down:

I walk in and scope out the line to see how long i'll have to wait .. Only 2 people in line. Great! i think.. Turns out...the first lady in line apparently was ordering footlongs for her entire extended family.. 7 footlongs. SEVEN. And true to form, Subway only had one girl working. And little Miss Subway was Not the quickest of gals. She would fix ONE sandwich at a time...vvveeerrrryyy...slloooowwwlly.. And she looked like she hated life. Never cracked even a half smile and kept snapping at the lady customer to " speak up". geez. So i think to myself. " Tracy, dont be too hard on this gal...you have no idea what is going on in her life right now... " So.. im really trying to be patient. I FINALLY get the chance to order and she looks at me like she hates me for being there, hates me for ordering, hates me for having to fix my sandwich. Ok people, i know that subway is probably not your dream job, and you probably hate being there,, and maybe you had an awful day. But sometimes ya just gotta fake it till you make it, ya know. BUCK UP.

I put on my best fake smile... order with a sweet tone..and by the time we get to the cash register...im about ready to come across that glass cover and thump her in the forehead. I ask " Rough day?" SHe looks up, wipes her snotty nose and says, "yes! i can t wait to get off.... Im sick."

Great. wonderful. ..Sick girl... just fixed my 'fresh' sandwich.... OH but that's not all ....

i say, (halfway disgusted). "im sorry, it stinks having to work not feeling well"...and SHE SAYS..

" YEA>>> I have the STOMACH VIRUS. My kids are always bringin' home nasty sicknesses from school. "

WHATTTTT????! yes. i heard right: "stomach virus." FAN-freakin-Tastic" ..

it was all i could do not to leave that sandwich sitting right there.! Dont come to work...AT SUBWAY...with the stomach virus. no thank you.

GRRRR.

so apparently these days... you may get a footlong for $5...but be careful what other "freebies' you may get along with that!

We recently got to enjoy a saturday on our friend, trey's boat. Fun times.. And would you believe.... i knee boarded for the very first time!!! YAY!!! And boy was i sore the next day!

SOLD!!!!

YAY!!! FINALLY>. after a YEAR AND a HAlf on the market.. Our house in indiana has sold.! It has been a LONG time coming..but i know its all in God's perfect timing. The closing is at the end of this month...so please be praying that all goes smooth. While im extremely relieved to be out from under this house...it is very bittersweet..i know there will be lots a tears shed when i go pack up my things and drive away for the last time. :( I LOVED that house. i LOVED Evansville... but we are where we need to be.. back home w/ family and friends. Im ready to move on and see what life brings us next!

We will be driving up to load up all our furniture and such the weekend before memorial day. We're going to try and get it done in one day and be back for the big Memorial Day Picnic at clay's parents... Then it's time to CELEBRATE!
