happy thanksgiving 2009

Wow.. we have SO much to be thankful for this year... we hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. ! Happy Thanksgiving!
I just fishished up making 2 of my mamaw harpes famous sweet potatoe pies, and i'm making a big ol' pot of creamed corn in the morning( my sweet auntie Di's recipe) .
And the jury is still out on whether or not im brave (crazy) enough to go shopping for deals on black friday with the rest of the family. Yikes. I just dont have the patience to deal with all those people.. .. someone is going to get cussed and poked in the throat if i lose it.! And that just isnt very becoming , right? Maybe i should just stay home :)

Slow down...

Dear life:

Please stop flying by faster and faster the older i get. I need more time to enjoy these sweet moments.

Dear Sarah Kathryn :

please stop growing up so gosh darn fast! Where did my tiny sweet baby go? I dont even realize how much you change just from month to month until i scroll down our blog and look how fast you have grown. While i love every moment of watching you grow, please slow down and stay my little girl forever. My "pretty" , who has a wild and exciting imagination, and has an imaginary friend , Mary, who loves to give me hugs and runs to me with wide arms when she sees me. It doesnt matter how old you get, you are always going to be my baby. I hope you always love me the way you do now..... because i will never stop loving you.

settling in

Sooo... ive fallen off the blogging band wagon for the last month and a half. Problem is i was being dragged by several other 'wagons' .... Moving.. moving.. remodeling... trying to keep up with orders ..halloween bucket orders. getting my house organized. ..potty training... traveling.. and the list goes on.
Bottom line:
We've been busy! :)
All for a good cause though. We have been in our house now for a few weeks and we LOVE it. I cant tell you how nice it is to have our own space again that is just ours. I love love my house.... and while it is def. a work in progress.. i can see so much potential in every room. Now to just find the time and the money to bring out that potential!

We had a surprise house -warming party thrown by my mom.. SUCH A BLESSING!!! I cant even TELL you how big of a burdon that lifted off us. WOW!! We have such wonderful friends and family and we love you each so much . THANK YOU.!!

I want to post some before and after pics.. but it seems like every room is still in middle stages.. i wanted to wait until they are how i want them.. but at the rate we are going, that may be years. ill justhave to post a few teasers for you. Of course, if you have been to visit us, you know what it looks like.. so bear with me and pretend you are excited to see pics of it again. :)
